  1. Controversial-ish question - should being African American be considered a drawback for Amazing Man in the context of the 1940s?

  2. You know, I actually typed that up in my first draft as a Miscellaneous drawback. I removed it because no other character from the time period has such a drawback. In particular I looked at Tsunami from the Young All-Stars. In the comics, her status as a Japanese American is constantly treated as a drawback, but her write up has no mention of it. My guess it would be considered a subplot, and I tend to agree since the drawback would only be relevant on Earth of the pre-1960's and comics can take place anywhere in space, time, and mystical dimension.
